Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship

Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship is a regional self-government responsible for a wide range of activities from spatial planning and regional policy to distribution of European funds. The region, situated in central-north of Poland by the Vistula River, covers an area of 17.9 thousand km² with population of 2 million citizens.

Role in COMBINE:
The main aim of the KPV participation in the project COMBINE is an in-depth analysis of the future functioning of the multimodal platform Bydgoszcz – Solec Kujawski. Among these activities are: research on transport flows between the main logistics hubs, determining the last mile for the platform, analyzing available transshipment technologies and means of transport based on experience from other countries of the Baltic Sea region, identifying potential investment areas as a back-up of future platform and exploring the possibilities of financing the future investments and their maintenance.
