The Danish Road Directorate
The Danish Road Directorate is responsible for the state-owned roads in Denmark. It forms part of the Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing. The Danish Road Directorate plans, constructs, operates and maintains the State road network, which constitutes almost 4,000 km. The Danish Road Directorate promotes an integrated road and transport system. With special consideration to the environment, it works towards a safe, secure and easy journey on the roads for people as well as for goods.
Role in COMBINE:
In the COMBINE project, the Danish Road Directorate leads the Group of Activities A4.3., “Feasibility of cross‐border operation of innovative technologies”, with a special focus on the use of the European Modular System (EMS) in combined and last mile transport, and on the potential for autonomous trucks in combined transport.
