City of Bydgoszcz
Bydgoszcz is the capital of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province and a junction of railways, waterways and road routes. Owing to its location on the Brda River and the historic Bydgoszcz Canal as well as the River Vistula, the city has earned the name as the largest Polish centre of inland navigation. The city has a population of 358 000 people, and the population in the metropolitan area amounts to 500 000 people.
Role in COMBINE:
Group of Activities 4.4. ”Last-mile concept for the multimodal platform Bydgoszcz-Solec Kujawski” is led by the City of Bydgoszcz, which plans to build a multimodal platform in the area. In COMBINE, the City of Bydgoszcz will investigate innovative last-mile concepts.
